New Songs of the Open Road

In honor of Walt Whitman’s 200th birthday!

Homer Jackson, director of the Philadelphia Jazz Project, presents New Songs of the Open Road in celebration of Walt Whitman’s 200th birthday. On Saturday, June 8th, he will lead a singing walk from Joseph E. Coleman Library to Cliveden’s grounds! For more information about the project, click here!

    Celebrating the 242nd anniversary of the Battle of Germantown!

    Germantown’s colonial history comes alive at the Revolutionary Germantown Festival! From 10 AM to 4 PM, visit Historic Germantown sites, watch two reenactments of the Battle of Germantown on Cliveden’s grounds, and enjoy a day of fun, food, and history in your backyard! After the battle, visit Historic Grumblethorpe for the Battle Bash–the annual after Battle party filled with food, music, and reenactors. 

    Admission is FREE and has activities for visitors of all ages. Mark your calendars for October 5th--we promise a day unlike any other!
