The 5 1/2 acres of woody landscape at Cliveden provide a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding. Enclosed by a historic stone and iron fence, guests are can enjoy the enclosed the natural beauty of tall trees, expansive lawn and native plantings around the interior. The historic landscape includes a collection of specimen trees, ornamental shrubbery, a memorial garden, romantic winding drive and a stone patio. The recommended capacity for the Cliveden grounds is 300 guests. Outdoor wedding receptions may be held under a tent on the grounds.
The Carriage House retains its authentic character with sliding barn doors, exposed stone walls, wrought iron hardware and wood beam structure. Reception seating in the Carriage House is available for 80 guests. The Carriage House may added to outdoor receptions for dancing and entertaining with a standing capacity of 150 guests.
The Cliveden Main House, built 1767, is the historic country estate of the Chew family. Operated as a historic site since 1972, it has maintained a collection of the Chew family’s important decorative arts and furniture. The Cliveden Main House is ideal for an elegant champagne toast! The recommended capacity for the main house is 40 standing guests at a time. The house will not accommodate a seated event. Guided tours of Cliveden are available upon request for an additional negotiated fee.
Preservation of the property and collections is paramount to the mission of the organization, and therefore Cliveden’s staff reserves the right to evaluate the suitability of all event proposals. Availability is subject to the limitations of Cliveden’s operating and programming schedule

|Please note: The Cliveden Museum is open for public tours Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm. Rental clients must be aware that their reservation does not purchase exclusive use of the entire facility, rather the designated areas during the designated times only. Museum visitors will have access to the public restrooms in the Carriage House, and the grounds entrances and walkways must not be obstructed. Event are strongly recommended to be scheduled to start after 4:00 pm. Calendar requests are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. A reservation is confirmed with a 50% nonrefundable deposit, and otherwise considered tentative. When a calendar request is made for a date that has been tentatively reserved, all parties will be notified. The tentative reservation will be given a Right of First Refusal, or a deposit must be made at this time if they wish to confirm the reservation. Rental clients are directed to request parking for their guests at the Second Baptist Church, located at 6459 Germantown Ave., (215) 849-0257. Fees cannot be quoted, as the donation request is at the discretion of the church and subject to change.||
