The last Second Saturday of 2023!

The final Second Saturday in 2023 is on Saturday, October 14, 2023 and the theme is Preservation Advocacy!

Free tours of the Main House and our new exhibit, The Turmoil of Transition: The mid-nineteenth century at Cliveden will be available from 12pm to 4pm, beginning on the hour.

At 1pm, join Cliveden for an in-depth tutorial on how to conduct research about the architectural, geographic, and social history of houses. Preservation Director Libbie Hawes will guide participants through online resources and local repositories to help identify details about the history of their historic houses.

Additionally, Mt. Airy CDC and Read by 4th will read Virginia Lee Burton’ s book, The Little House, twice at the Literacy Nest on the 14th, part of Northwest Philly’s Events for Reading Promise Week! Story time is at 1pm and 3pm, and neighbors are encouraged to come out and enjoy a story on the grounds.
