A Facebook Live event into the archive vault at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania

On Friday, February 28th at 12pm join Cliveden, the African American Genealogy Group of Philadelphia, and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania for a Facebook Live event, Vault Visit: Jacob the Freedom Seeker. The program will explore the freedom-seeking strategies among the Chew family’s enslaved communities drawn from documents found in the Chew Family Papers archive at HSP. This event connects to the project Illuminating Hidden Lives, which seeks to make documents in the Chew Family Papers more accessible.
